What is an Ori Feeding?

The Ori is seen as the Higher Spiritual Self in the Yoruba System of Ifá. We work with this spirit because Ori is tied to our destiny in life.

The Ori feeding is a ritual to strengthen the bond between your Ori and you. Ori is the first line of defense against spiritual attack and the arbiter between yourself and Oriṣa. No Oriṣa may bless you without the acceptance of Ori.

During the ritual, we make omiero (consecrated herbal wash) to wash your head. The priest will pray over you to bring blessings of long life, wealth and well being. Afterwards, your head will receive an offering on kola nut and other items requested by your Ori.

You will need to bring a white headwrap and a towel. Your head will get wet, so be prepared.
